Our Bergey wind turbine works much like a fan, except that instead of using electricity to create wind, our turbines use wind to create electricity. The blades of the turbine are engineered to catch the wind as it goes past them. The blades of the fan are connected to a shaft which is attached to a generator that spins to create electricity. the electricity produces goes back into your grid, so you still use electricity from the grid, but if the amount of electricity you produce is equal to the amount you used then you won't pay for the electricity you used.
